Called in today, the DeathHeat over the last two days has just wiped me out. I think the part that made it really bad is that it wasn't a gradual warming, where I could acclimate to it. Rather, it went from sorta warm to blazingly hot. Friday was hot but bareable, whereas Monday was just the insanity. Really don't wanna miss the hours, but the heat has kicked my ass and I think I really need the day to recuperate.

10:01 pm - Ikea Can Eat Me
So, thanks to Ogre and Rob, we made a run to Ikea to get a couple more bookcases. The Flarke, the same ones we've gotten before. Except they aren't. They are a bit narrower, the adjustable shelves are actually more limited, such that there will be one shelf I can't get game books on, regardless of how I position them, and they are generally a bit chintzier. So very pissed.
However, after being a Very Irate Customer and demanding to speak to a manager (after being transfered to two or three departments that had no idea what was going on), we are getting them swapped to a bit larger bookcases and they are eating the difference. The prob being, said bookcases were the Kilbys we were looking out that were out of stock. They are gonna call when they do get them in, then I get to figure out transport down there again.
The most fucking annoying bit is the customer service drone who tried to explain that "they are still the same product." Even though they are of different sizes and utility. Fucking eat me.

I find an alarming lack of gaming in my life. Well, other than WoW, which is the fun, but not the same hing as doing stuff face-to-face. Cracking some books, whipping out a hexmap, slamming some mini's down, whatever.
Part of it is the work schedule, part the up at 4.30 am for the commute, ughs. And just being able to coordinate. There's Tuesday Night Exalted, which is about to start getting back into gar, but that's only every other week. I need more Exalted (esp since GWC is still up in the air, it seems). I have the mass D&D bug. NWod looks fun, but I'm not up to running it. I could use ane xcuse to actually put some minis together for Warmachine and Hordes.
However, more than anything, I have SFB on the brain. Well, SFB and Federation Commander. But Jon is pretty much not interested in it for now (and see schedule issues, above). The main bunch on SeattleSFB actually meet down in Federal Way or some such foreign land. I suppose I could look into MSG...or eat a bowl of broken glass.
Speaking of, for all those interested in old Trek starship combat but for whom SFB was too massive and complex, Federation COmmander is ADB's new simple game of SFU starship combat. It's based on the ame principles and core ideas as SFB, but is much simpler and cleaner. Moreover, it's not just "SFB Lite", but does have some different dynamics to make it a more cinematic, faster playing game. If you wanna check it out, lemme know!

Being run up by the two of the warriors who have publically said they make it a point to try and run me up (and who are our most inconsistent warriors) plus having multiple people pushing me to overspend (depite knowing I make a specfic point to not do so, and I think that the overspending people do is dumb) == very pissed off Alendrel.

Or a lack there of. The new edition of Exalted is out later this month, and I already told kaomera that I'd be running it. Which is certianly soemthing I was wanting to do before he asked. There's the minor detail of needing players. Oh, and an idea for the game. I'm thinking soemthing in the East, if not the Scavanger Lands themselves. Basically, go "iconic default Solar Exalted" for a game to try out the new edition. Also, want to hear from the players what they'd like to do with the game.
For any potential interest, game will most likely be on Mondays, though Saturday maybe be a possibility as well.

My company has moved to Bellevue. We conducted the actual mover (i.e. packing and shipping stuff over to the new site) on Thursday and Friday. I was packing Thursday, but got to go to the enw site and unload trucks on Friday.
Stranger in a strange land.
One of my cow orkers and I took a break to wander down to the nearby Safeway. On the way back, a guy was walking up the street towards us. When he was about fifty feet away, he crossed the street quickly, with naked fear in his eyes.
Ah, to be a pedestrian in Bellevue.
